Reading your dimension scores: what clients are really telling you
The star rating is what strangers read. The dimension scores underneath — listened to me, explained clearly, no pressure, worth my time — are for you, and they repay attention the headline number can't.
A single overall rating compresses everything into one figure: great listener with a confusing process and a pushy closer all average out to "pretty good." The dimensions un-compress it. An agent running 4.9 on listening and 4.2 on clarity has a specific, fixable gap — probably explaining the process in industry shorthand. An agent strong everywhere but drifting on "no pressure" is hearing, from multiple clients, something no one would ever say to their face.
Clients rarely tell you what's wrong. Asked the same four questions enough times, they can't help it.
Read them by touchpoint and the picture sharpens further. Strong clarity scores at consults but weak ones at valuations means the pricing story, specifically, isn't landing. Pressure scores that dip at showings but not at first calls point at a habit that only appears when a decision is near.
Two practical rules. Watch trends, not single responses — one rough score is a data point, three in a month is a pattern. And resist optimizing for the score itself; the dimensions work because they measure real behavior, and the honest fix — explaining better, easing off — moves both the number and the practice it measures.
